Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
California law gives you the right to stop us from selling or sharing your personal information. Here's what that means on this site and how to do it.

You can opt out in two ways: send a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser, or use the form below. Either one stops us from selling or sharing your information from then on. You don't need an account, and opting out never changes how the site treats you.
What “sell” and “share” mean here
The California Consumer Privacy Act uses these words broadly. On this site:
- Sell means passing your check answers and contact details to our licensed dealer partner, the one solar dealer we work with, who refers you to one licensed installer. We may be paid for that referral, so the law treats it as a sale.
- Share means letting an advertising platform receive limited browsing information, such as which pages you visited, to measure or target ads. We do this only if we use such tools.
If you opt out before finishing the check, we won't pass your details to the dealer, which also means no installer will contact you. If you opt out after a referral was made, we'll stop any further selling or sharing and tell the dealer about your request. Details are in our notice at collection.
Global Privacy Control (GPC)
Global Privacy Control is a signal your browser can send to every site you visit, saying you don't want your information sold or shared. Some browsers have it built in as a privacy setting, and others add it through an extension. California treats GPC as a valid opt-out request, and we honor it: when your browser sends it, we treat that browser as opted out.
GPC works per browser. If you use the check on your phone and later on a laptop without GPC, the laptop isn't covered. To apply your opt-out to your information no matter which device you use, also fill out the form with the email or phone you used.
Other ways to opt out
Email hello@goldenhourenergy.com with the subject “Do not sell or share” and the email or phone you used. An authorized agent can also submit a request for you with your signed permission.
